PBS' Frontier House

For a while, I was obsessed with the entire "House" series, where people would live like they did in the olden days. Manor House, called Edwardian House in the UK, is my favorite, but Frontier House has particular relevance right now, with all the talk about trad wives and the book Yesteryear, plus our general desire to get more hands-on with our lives. I love that these series offer a more unvarnished look at just how difficult life was. HBO just did a similar series with Chip and Joanna Gaines, but it was a lot more polished. By the end of Frontier House, there will probably be a few people you hate. You can find episodes online or at your local library. Once you watch one, you want to watch them all, and there are a ton of them, including a number produced in Canada.
